Puppy Training

For puppies aged 8-14 weeks: Establish desirable behaviour as soon as your puppy gets home. One-on-one in-home consults covering behaviours, toileting, sleeping arrangements etc.

Basic Obedience

For dogs 14 weeks+: Establish behavioural toolkit, address minor problem behaviours and how to set up redirecting away from less desirable behaviours towards desirable behaviours.

Standard Behavioural Training

Adult dogs: Address common behavioural problems such as inconsistent toilet behaviours, greeting visitors, reactivity to stimuli around your home, feeding and sleeping arrangements, and walking your dog.

Advanced Behavioural Consults

Adult dogs: Consults for significant behavioural concerns such as separation anxiety, reactivity to stimuli outside your home, persistent noise complaint assistance, and introducing a new dog into your home (i.e. rescue dogs).

Cane Toad Recognition and Avoidance Training

GC Dog Training's Cane Toad Recognition and Avoidance Training Program is now formally approved by the DPI Animal Ethics Committee (May 2026) and available for bookings.

The program is designed to help dogs learn to recognise and avoid cane toads in the environment — reducing the risk of poisoning incidents that send Gold Coast dogs to emergency vets every year.

The program is available for dogs 16 weeks and older and is individually designed based on each dog's assessment outcomes.

Program highlights:

• Welfare-focused — non-aversive methods used as the primary training pathway

• Individually designed following a suitability assessment

• Ethically approved — DPI AEC approved, May 2026

• Veterinary-endorsed program design

• Structured follow-up monitoring at 24 hours, 30 days and 3 months post-training
